Professional Experience

My Journey as a Vocalist, Artist and Songwriter

I’ve performed professionally across the UK as a lead vocalist in a pop/soul wedding and events band, as well as a backing vocalist for various solo artists. I’ve also worked as a recording session vocalist, collaborating with producers to bring songs to life in the studio. Additionally, I released original music under the artist name Rosetta & The Keepers, debuting my EP Love Lost.

Today, I write music under my own name, drawing inspiration from artists like London Grammar, Birdy, Agnes Obel and Dodie to create cinematic, atmospheric and emotionally driven songs. I’m also actively co-writing with global songwriters and artists, which has broadened my creative range and enriched my music.

My performing experience underpins my coaching methods, especially for those exploring their own artistry. I support artists who want to develop their unique style, create original music, or refine their performance skills. In my coaching, songwriting is an option for those looking to create original material alongside performing covers.

How I found my voice…

& help others find theirs

Where It All Began

At 18, I stepped into the music industry with a sensitive heart and a profound love for singing. From a very young age, I had dreamed of being a solo artist and writing my own music. Over time, I found myself constantly comparing my voice to other singers, questioning why I didn’t sound as “good” as they did. Slowly, performance anxiety, perfectionism, and harsh self-criticism crept in. Panic attacks before gigs became routine, and forgetting lyrics on stage would leave me spiralling in self-doubt for days. I believed that if I could just perfect my vocal technique, everything would get better, but it didn’t fully address what I was facing.

As my confidence began to fade, I started withdrawing from performing. Then came the diagnosis of chronic health conditions, including endometriosis. Eventually, I made the incredibly tough decision to pause my music career and focus on my health.

How I Found My Voice Again

After six months of rest and a successful surgery, I returned to music, this time not as a performer or artist, but as a vocal coach and singing teacher.

While working with singers and bands, I continued to face my own challenges — self-doubt, overthinking, and performance anxiety. Seeing these struggles both in myself and others motivated me to deepen my professional training and seek therapy and guidance (shoutout to Line Hilton!).

This journey helped me reconnect with my voice, uncover the style of music I truly enjoy writing and rediscover my love of performing. I learned to ease the grip of perfection and embrace growth through imperfection.

The Heart Behind Jacinda Vocal Coach

After years of working with other music schools and teaching independently, I decided to create my own vocal coaching business with a holistic focus.

At Jacinda Vocal Coach, I view singing as an experience that involves your whole self: mind, body, emotions, and experiences. When self-doubt or overthinking arise, they naturally influence your voice. I’ve been there too, noticing every uncertain note. By practising mindful awareness and accepting these experiences without judgment, you open space to engage fully with the present moment. Singing then transforms, moving beyond the need to ‘get it right’ and becoming a sincere expression of who you are in that moment.

Solid vocal technique lays the groundwork, giving your voice control, strength, flexibility and endurance, but it’s only part of the story. Real growth begins when you open to your inner experience with curiosity and acceptance, allowing yourself to notice what’s happening without judgment, and choose to sing from a place of presence and purpose.

If any of this resonates with you, I’d love to hear your voice and your story.

Kind words

“Jacinda is incredibly talented, professional and kind, with a clear passion for what she does. Not only has my voice improved beyond what I thought it was capable of, but my confidence too!”

Amy Willington, (Singer/Songwriter and Actress)

“Jacinda has allowed me to gain confidence as a singer and a performer. With her encouragement my performance attitude and signing abilities have grown
exponentially as I have learnt how to control both my voice and my insecurities. I was allowed my own creative freedom, picking songs that interested me as an artist and not what I thought other people would want to hear.”

Livvy Baylin, (Artist and Singer/Songwriter)
